My Profile:

I am an experienced IT Professional with in excess of 20 years working in the industry.  With Prince 2 Practitioner Status I have been an I.T. Project Manager since 2006, however, my project delivery experience even pre-dates this. 


Starting my career as a desktop engineer for the London Borough of Enfield in 1995 after graduating from University, I soon developed a strong interest in technology and new innovations.  It has always been a passion to work with new products and to realise their implementations for achieving business benefits.


After establishing a solid grounding in desktop support achieving an MCSE in 2000, I decided to broaden my knowledge and experience to include networks and server technologies, working in Server Support prior to progressing into more managerial positions.  The opportunity to work in Service Delivery gave me a valuable insight into the commerical apsects for business along with line managment and leadership experience, however, it was my time spent overseeing a Small Projects Programme that gave me the passion for implementing changes through projects.


From a personal perspective I am a delivery-focused manager with strong IT operational leadership experience within large Blue-Chip companies and ICT Consultancies.  


Specifically, I have practical experience in the delivery of a range of Infrastructure and Software solutions.  Specialising in the provision of in-building I.T. Infrastructure, these include WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi implementations, AV, Skype, Printing Solutions, Asset Management; new build IT integrations for Offices, Members' Clubs, Academies, Schools, Libraries and Public Access Centres;


Skills include, process development, budget management, risk & change management, planning and estimating, business-aligned IT infrastructure, LANs, WANs, Client management, 24x7 operations, applications /database development, service improvement and technology deployment.


My experiences in Project Delivery have helped me to develop my negotiation and communication skills.  My focus is drawn to keeping track of progress, even in complex situations, and facing difficult tasks with a good ability to grasp an understanding of the entire picture and extrapolating improved opportunities and development potential.


Goal-orientated with the ability to work under own initiative at all levels/pressures to achieve successful delivery.
